Wow. This month went fast. The tree went up. The tree came down. This year I let the kids decorate it since they’re both old enough to do so. We put on all my Wizard of Oz decorations - Jayden loved it! We also made a paper chain garland at his request. He picked out some wrapping paper, and we had a good time making it. He’s doing so well with his cutting skills. Anyway, Christmas went well. The kids were very excited. Josie came out of her room, looked at the tree with presents under it and said, “Wow!” She dug right in. I don’t remember Jayden being so enthusiastic at two years old. Her favorite toy is her Mega Bloks like Jayden’s, but in girl colors. Jayden’s favorite toy was definitely Lego Star Wars for the wii and the light sabers that came with it. He also got a shirt that he had to wear all day Christmas Day and the day after. Josie likes her new clothes as well. Audi and I got lots of gift cards to home improvement stores so we can redo the kids’ bathroom. I’m so excited!!! When we get a chance to do some store shopping (I’ve done plenty of online shopping so I know what I’m looking for), we should have it done within a month. We’ll post some pictures of the before and after for ya!
Lots to do tonight before we head to our sleepover at Aubrey’s - mostly cleaning and cooking. I’m making her birthday cake this year, and we’re using a new recipe so we’ll see how it turns out. I’ll try to make an effort to post more often in January. It serves me right that I had 2839 spam messages to delete a page at a time when I logged in this morning! Happy New Year!
